Welcome to The Heathcote Golf Club
Heathcote is a Central Victorian township 105 kms north of Melbourne. The golf club was founded in 1928 and the course is famous for its fast, true-running, Peneagle bent-grass greens. It has forged a reputation with both amateur and professional players as one of the best golf courses in Central Victoria. The Heathcote district is highly regarded for its wineries and red wine production, particularly varieties of Shiraz, and the club boasts more winemakers per head than any golf club in Australia.
The par-71 layout features couch fairways lined with established gum and pine trees. The course is fully watered and access to recycled water means it plays beautifully throughout the year. The course is also home to a variety of wildlife including kangaroos, emus, corellas and sulphur-crested cockatoos.
The club hosts a number of days for the Bendigo District Golf Association every year as well as holding our own tournaments and fundraising events. Of premier importance is the Kevin Ellis Memorial Day which raises money for cancer research. The Golden Putter Day is an extremely popular event drawing competitors from around the state. Our Ivo Whitton event is held as part of our Spring Tournament every September. The Club welcomes guests to play in our weekly competitions and is a popular destination for many social golf groups.
